Black Hornet® PRS

Airborne Personal Reconnaissance System (PRS) for Dismounted Soldiers

The Black Hornet PRS equips the non-specialist dismounted soldier with immediate covert situational awareness (SA). Game-changing EO and IR technology bridges the gap between aerial and ground-based sensors, with the same SA as a larger UAV and threat location capabilities of UGVs. Extremely light, nearly silent, and with a flight time up to 25 minutes, the combat-proven, pocket-sized Black Hornet PRS transmits live video and HD still images back to the operator. Adapted from the Black Hornet Personal Reconnaissance System (PRS), the VRS has extended this game-changing and lifesaving capability of the Black Hornet nano-UAV. The launch unit mounts externally and fully integrates within the vehicle to create a real time situational awareness RSTA airborne system for crews protected inside the vehicle. Osprey — Package Delivery Payload

The Osprey payload for the SkyRanger R70 and R80D SkyRaider provides a simple, flexible and reliable way to attach and carry almost any object weighing up to 3.5 kg (7.7 lbs). The Osprey kit comes with a variety of mounting brackets to provide a secure restraint for objects of varying sizes. Payload is only available for SkyRanger R70 and R80D SkyRaider.

HD Zoom 30 – Long-Range Zoom Imaging Payload

The HDZoom 30 is a fully-integrated, high performance electro-optical camera payload designed for demanding applications that require clear and precise images. Integrating seamlessly with the SkyRanger UAS, the HDZoom 30 offers 3-axis stabilization to capture detailed video and still photos, even under extreme environmental conditions. The HDZoom 30 delivers up to 30x optical zoom and 60x enhanced digital zoom for eyes-on-target at distances up to 5 km (3.1 miles).

EO IR Mk II — High-Fidelity Infrared & High Definition Daylight Imaging Payload

The EO/IR Mk-II is a multi-sensor imaging payload for the SkyRanger. Flexible for day and night-time operations, the EO/IR Mk-II imaging payload delivers enhanced thermal (IR) imagery in a range of color palettes – white-hot, black-hot, rainbow and ironbow.

StormCaster-DX is tightly integrated with the R80D SkyRaider™ UAS to leverage its class-leading payload capacity, multi-mode operations (tethered/untethered & mounted/dismounted), and AI-CV-based targeting capabilities.

Tether Kit

Continuous Aircraft Operation for R70 & R80D Payload

The Tether Kit enables continuous operation of the aircraft and attached payloads delivering power and data for secure and RF-quiet operations. Payload lift capacity supports a broad spectrum of mission sets. Intelligent altitude management maximizes operational envelope while minimizing operator burden. Should a loss of tether power occur, the system will warn the operator and continue to fly on internal batteries until a low-power condition triggers either an automatic descent to a safe AGL altitude, or a safe auto-land.
